Filming is complete!March 2008After a hectic 5 day shoot, "Piet and the Wooden Statue" has completed all the filming and is now ready for the next phase of production - the soundtrack and edit! Thanks to everyone who helped out over the past few weeks and months to get the show on the road! It was an amazing time for the experienced and inexperienced alike, including road closures in Molong; participation from 2 district vintage car clubs proudly tranforming the streets of Molong back into a by-gone era; filming inbetween an unrelenting and unforgiving storm; and finally enjoying the performances of the local talent when stepping, almost magically, into their characters. In the Media section you will see a few images from the last day of shooting when the Molong Express came on set. In hindsight, it all went incredibly well and could not have happened without the amazing support from all the local community who participated - from the kind folk at the Historical Museum in Molong, to the generous owners of the properties we "invaded", to all the young extras and locals who came along to be part of this incredible production. A big thank you to everyone! Stay tuned, in the next 5 months or so, the Central West of NSW will be seeing the world premeier screening of Piet and the Wooden Statue! |

Title To Be Hand Cross-Stitched By ArtistDec 2007The title of the film is currently being hand cross-stitched by artist Megan Yeo, a College of Fine Arts graduate who usually cross-stitches images of the world in all its varied and violent glory. This title project is somewhat more subdued than what she’s used to but says “it’s going to be just as interesting to make!” |
